Introduction to large load handling robot

in production, it is necessary to carry hundreds of kilograms or even tons of objects at high speed and place them in the specified position accurately and stably. For example, DMT successfully designed and manufactured a large-scale high-speed handling robot for Samsung, which can handle 2 tons of display screens at a high speed of 4 meters per second. The robot can not only meet the requirements of large load and high speed, but also is very reliable. It has been working continuously without fault for 11 months, and has passed the acceptance of Samsung. At present, the robot is one of the most advanced large rectangular coordinate robots with the highest safety factor and reliability among the heavy load and high-speed handling robots. In addition, DMT company has also designed and manufactured many large-scale handling and palletizing robots with different forms, different loads, different speeds and moving distances for many users. 1. The large load linear motion unit

adopts the roller transmission mode similar to the gantry crane, which has great bearing capacity and bears the impact force from all directions. It is widely used as the axis of horizontal motion, such as X axis and Y axis

there are three types, so they are called tm-h15, tm-h20 and tm-h30 respectively in the lifting process of the platform. The maximum bearing capacity of a single standard slider of its single

tm-h30 is 2400KG, the maximum running speed is 1.5m/s, the maximum acceleration is 2m per second, and the length of a single slider is 6 meters. Two tm-h30 can be placed in parallel and multiple sliders can be used to increase the load capacity. At present, the maximum length formed by multiple cascades is 120 meters. Another typical application is as the motion carrier of other joint robots. In order to meet the requirements of high-speed movement, the gear rack is replaced by a linear servo motor, which can reach a running speed of 8 meters per second

2. The medium load linear motion unit

adopts two large-diameter steel shafts as the guide rail and the closed aluminum profile or square steel pipe as the main body. Gear rack, synchronous belt or ball screw transmission can be selected. The main machine can be leveled with a frame level in two directions perpendicular to each other on the outer ring of the working cylinder (or column) to be used as the x-axis, Y-axis and z-axis. There are five types, namely sp125, sp150, sp200, sp250 and sp300. The maximum bearing capacity FZ of a single sp250 equipped with a single standard slider is 450kg, and it adopts synchronous belt transmission. The maximum running speed is 8m/s, and the length of a single sp250 is 6 meters. Two parallel ways can be used to combine and place multiple sliders to increase the load capacity. 3. High speed linear motor

if the running speed reaches 2 to 4 meters per second with large load, linear servo drive is adopted. The advantage of linear servo is that it can be cascaded into tens of meters. At present, the maximum thrust is 8000n, and the acceleration is fast. In addition, our linear servo can cooperate with our aluminum tube and square steel tube main body in the installation position

4. Examples of combining into customized handling robots

using the various linear motion units introduced above and the help that can be easily reached as needed, it is combined into various forms (two-dimensional, three-dimensional and five axis), various loads (up to 2000 kg), various running speeds (up to 8 m/s), and the rectangular coordinate robot with the longest length of 200 meters at present. The same robot can have multiple z axes and can be equipped with multiple rotation axes to complete specific tasks

5. Conclusion

rectangular coordinate robots are developed synchronously with joint robots in Europe and the United States, but they are more widely used in various automatic production lines, the loading and unloading, transportation and stacking of most machine tools, large-scale detection, flaw detection and gluing, etc. If you carry hundreds of kilograms of objects, the handling distance is relatively large, then the rectangular coordinate robot is not only cheaper than the joint robot, but also more practical.
